Soooooo recently I've been feeling like shopping, and I have definitely accomplished that goal. Below are some things ranging from winter clothes to swimsuits to sunglasses, and I can almost justify it because summer is finally here and I had a boujee scholar trip to Washington DC, so I was in need of some new clothes. Some of the clothes aren't still in stock, but I figured I still show them.
ANTHROPOLOGIE:
So first from Anthropologie is this light grey turtle neck sweater. I love this sweater so much because the turtle neck is really lose and the arms of the sweater are low, so it's almost like a poncho. My favorite things to wear it with is just black leggings and my Frye black booties with silver studs on them; it's super easy and comfortable for the cold winter days.
Next is this navy sweater with silver sparkle threads in it. I know what you're thinking: this sounds like it should be sold in Justice. But it is actually really cute for people over 12 years old also! Most of the time I wear it to school because it is really soft and looks good with my uniform, but I also wear it with the same Frye boots as the grey sweater and my black jeans.
I have been obsessed with jeans since the first time I saw them. The hefty price stopped me from buying them, but Anthropologie always eventually puts their clothes on sale and then has an extra 40% off sale which is what I waited for. My favorite way to style them is with the white shirt from Free People pictured above and some Birkenstocks.
earrings:
Next is this pair of earrings that I found at Anthro when I was looking for a prom dress. They were a little expensive compared to my normal $10 budget for earrings, but it was totally worth it because I've literally worn them every day since I got them. I love these because you can wear them with something fancy or use them to add a little something to a casual outfit. (PS: they're featured in a few of the outfit pics below)
SABO SKIRT:
I got this dress from Poshmark because it has been out of stock for about a year. I've seen the dress all over Pinterest and knew it would be perfect for prom. . I've gotten so many compliments on this dress, and definitely recommend going to Sabo Skirt when you need a formal or maxi dress; they have a lot of unique ones that you won't find anyone else wearing.
FREE PEOPLE:
belt-
Recently I've been obsessed with trying to find a belt like this for the summer season, especially for music festivals. I've seen it all over Youtube and Instagram, and finally found this beauty at Free People in Georgetown, for around $30 which I thought was a steal because other belts like this one that I've seen are going for around $80. I love the details on it like on the buckle with the stars, and it looks so cute with any outfit.
swimsuit-
This swimsuit was also a steal because I had been looking for this style that like crosses over in the front for so long and finally I found it and it was on sale at Free People while they were having a Sale on Sale promotion. I haven't worn it yet because it didn't come with any pads in it which is weird but you can insert them in which is good. It's a blush pink color (the second picture is for how I plan on wearing it).
hoodie-
Buying this hoodie was the best decision of my life. Literally. I have been none stop wearing it; even my friends have started to make fun of me for it. I first saw it at the mall with my friend, but they only had it in white and black, so I went online and they had so many colors. This is the army green/grey one, and my friend that was with me got the cranberry one. I'm even thinking about getting it in white I love it so much. The back is the best part with all the cut outs and it looks so cool if you wear a LuLu sports bra that has the criss-cross. The fabric is so soft because it's part of the movement line, and it's perfect to throw over a sports bra and leggings when going to yoga or spin.
top-
I saw this shirt in the Free People Georgetown shop and couldn't decide if I should get it in black or this emerald green color, and eventually chose the green. The beaded details is so cute and it's going to be so good for the warm weather.
hair tie-
I have been looking for a bandana tie for long, and I love this brown/mauve color. This one is really cool because it's like a hair tie, but you can untie the bandana and turn it into a neck wrap.
bag-
This bag I have been obsessed with since I saw it and knew I had to have it. It's the perfect slouchy shoulder bag and fits so much. The material is like suede, and the zipper detail on the should strap is so cool.
URBAN OUTFITTERS:
overall dress-
Next up is Urban Outfitters; while in Washington DC, I was helping my friend look for senior picture outfits when I saw this overall dress. This color is the perfect blue/grey and looks amazing with a tan, and a white bralette. I can not wait to wear it and take some cute pics!
top-
This satin shirt is perfect for summer because it is so light weight. I already wore it with some black jean shorts and that FP belt listed above, and it is so cute.
skort-
I got this skort for one of the business days during my Washington trip, and it was so cute and comfy. I dressed it up with the white Steve Madden platform sandals listed below and a white shirt, and it was perfect.
jean shirt-
This shirt I didn't know if I would like or not when I ordered it because I originally wanted it in the blue denim, but it was all sold out. BUT I love this shirt so much. It looks so good with a pair of the white tie shorts you can find anywhere for the summer or with a pair of black jeans and black booties in the winter.
RAY BAN:
sunglasses-
I desperately needed a new pair sunglasses because my other ones are completely bent and scratched. These are the classic hexagon sunglasses from Ray-Bans, and normally I feel like I don't have the face shape that looks good with any sunglasses, but these ones fit perfectly, and I love the tortoise on the end pieces.
HOMEGROWN:
So Homegrown is a local jewelry store where I live, and I'm literally in there every other day because the stuff there is always my style. First thing I got was a gold horn necklace that everyone and their mother has, and I also got a pair of small hoop earrings with the triangles dangling on them.
STEVE MADDEN:
white shoes
These shoes have been my obsession since I saw them on Pinterest for the first time, and when I realized that I needed a new pair for my Washington trip I got these right away. They were so comfy and I got so many compliments on them. These shoes are perfect because it still gives the boost with the platform, but they don't have a heel, so you can wear them all day. I got them Nordstrom in my normal size. (PS: this pic on vsco got over 1000 republishes, never been more proud of myself).
gold shoes-
The next pair of shoes I got are these from Steve Madden also. These are from his comfort line which was perfect for my trip also. The soles of the shoes have gel-like inserts in it, so it feels like your wearing Birkenstocks while still having the boost from the platform.
LULU LEMON:
shorts-
I have been eying this color at LuLuLemon for long because it's the perfect mauve/purple color, and makes you look so tan. These are just the normal running shorts from LuLu.
PRINCESS POLLY:
green dress-
I got this dress for a business day on my trip, and it worked out perfectly. The banana leaves print is so cute and it has a little ruffle on the edge. It's definitely the cutest wrap dress, and looks so good with the white platforms listed above.
white jumpsuit-
So I wore this jumpsuit to my schools graduation which I did not realize wasn't okay since it's white, but I only got hate from one person, so I'll take it as a win. I know the tie in front look is really in this season, and this jumpsuit definitely incorporates it perfectly. Love this and am definitely going to wear it again except not to a graduation this time.

green top-
So I first saw this top on Pinterest and became obsessed with it, but the link led to no where, so I thought it was a lost hope, but I then saw it when I was scrolling through PrincessPolly.com. It honestly made my week because this is the most perfect top I have ever seen and here's my reasoning: first, it's my favorite color to wear (forest green); second, it's a wrap top which are so in this season; and lastly it has little gold stars printed on it. Like how can you beat that I don't know.
ARIE:
white set-
The last item in this post is this set from Arie. One day I was at the mall, and I decided to go to Arie which I haven't been to in probably three years. When I saw this I wanted to buy it in every color. The frayed edges are so cool, and the fit looks so good on anyone.
