Week one of my France exchange has been amazing!! I flew into Paris on Sunday and went straight into the city with my host family. We ate at a quaint restaurant that served us meat with feta and bread. Although most of the shops were not open because it was Sunday we stopped at Louis Vuitton which was beautiful. It made me wish that I had saved more money for the trip. We saw all the monumental places like Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower. Grabbing a coffee at a little cafe that overlooked the Eiffel Tower was one of my favorite parts of the week.
Attending school at St.Denis in Loche was a very different experience than where I attend school. I got to meet people from all over the world including Ireland, Korea, Mexico, and America! It is so cool to see the differences and similarities between the cultures.
Thursday all the international students went to the near by Zoo which is ranked fifth in the world. It was so fun, and we got to eat crepes at the nearby Creperie.
Saturday my exchange sister, Clara, and I took the bus to Tours to do some shopping. The stores there are so different from the ones in America. We got lunch at this amazing Italian restaurant where I got a pizza called the Texane and it had chicken and potatoes on it with BBQ sauce, for a second I thought I was in America. I bought just a few things which I will show later in the month.
